This site runs on open source libraries that other people built and shared with everyone. All of them run in your browser, on your device. Here is what each tool uses and under which licence.

About HEIC support
libheif, which opens HEIC photos, is licensed under LGPL-3.0. We use it without any changes. It is a separate file from the rest of the site and only loads when you pick a HEIC photo. Its source code is public at the links above. If you want to replace that file with your own build of libheif, write to us from the contact page and we will explain how.
