How to make a QR code

  1. Choose what to share: a link, Wi-Fi, contact card, email, phone, WhatsApp, IBAN or plain text.
  2. Fill in the fields. The QR code updates as you type.
  3. If you like, open Design to change colour and shape, and put your logo in the middle.
  4. Press Download PNG or Download SVG.

Ideas

  • Wi-Fi: guests scan and join without typing the password. Print it for the café, office or living room.
  • Contact card: people save your name, phone and email in one tap.
  • Menus, posters, flyers: turn your link into a code and send the SVG to the printer.
  • WhatsApp: scanning opens a chat with you, optionally with a ready message.
  • IBAN: for rent, dues or donations, nobody has to type the long number by hand.

Before you print

Always test the code with a phone before printing. Print it at least 2 × 2 cm, and larger if people will scan it from a distance. Do not crop the white border around the code; scanners use it to find the code.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. The code carries your information directly. There is no server or redirect link of ours in between, so it never expires, never gets switched off and never asks for payment. It keeps working even if this site goes away.

Can I see how many times it was scanned?

No, on purpose. Counting scans needs the code to go through a redirect link, which means the scanner's data passes through someone's server. The code made here goes straight to your link.

Will a logo break the code?

When you add a logo, the tool switches to the highest error correction level and clears a small area under the logo. A QR code stays readable even with about 30% of it covered, and the logo uses far less. Still, scan it once with your phone before you print.

Which colours should I use?

A dark code on a light background. If the colours are too close, or the code is lighter than the background, the tool warns you, because some phone cameras cannot read those codes.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is fine for screens, messages and documents. For posters, flyers or signs, download SVG. It stays sharp at any size.

Does the IBAN QR code work with banking apps?

The code holds the IBAN without spaces. Many banking apps can read an IBAN with the camera when you send money. The tool checks the IBAN check digits and will not make a code for a wrong IBAN.

Is anything I type sent anywhere?

No. The code is made entirely in your browser. Your Wi-Fi password, phone number or IBAN never leave this device.
